SunPower went bankrupt. Who services my SunPower system in Las Vegas now?

It depends on when your system went in and how you paid for it. For a SunPower system installed on or before September 30 2024, the new SunPower Inc. says it took no interest in it. Lease and PPA customers go to their financier or SunStrong Management. Cash and loan customers are told to contact their lender. Panel and inverter warranties are claimed from the makers.

What happened, from the record

• August 5 2024. SunPower Corporation filed for bankruptcy. The case for SunPower Corporation, Systems is Case No. 24-11651 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, assigned to Judge Craig T. Goldblatt.
• September 30 2024. Complete Solaria, Inc. closed its purchase of certain SunPower Corporation assets: the Blue Raven Solar division, the New Homes division, the Non-Installing Dealer division, and the SunPower brand and trademarks. Complete Solaria then renamed itself SunPower Inc.
• SunPower Inc.'s own page says that purchase did not include any interest in customer PPAs, leases, or any solar systems, batteries or other equipment installed before September 30 2024.
• For money owed by the old company, SunPower Inc.'s page points to the bankruptcy estate's administration website run by Epiq, and to SunPowerinfo@epiqglobal.com.

So there are two companies with one name. The one selling today is not the one that installed a system in 2019.

SunPower Inc.'s warranty page sorts customers by installer and date. Here is its guidance, as published on 2026-09-28.

Your installation agreement tells you which row you are in. If you cannot find it, the monthly statement tells you who holds a lease, a PPA or a loan today.

If you are on a lease or PPA

The system belongs to the owner, and the repair runs through the servicer. Nevada requires every lease and power purchase agreement to carry a written warranty that does not expire earlier than 10 years after installation (NRS 598.9821). Report faults to your financier or SunStrong in writing, with dates and production screenshots, and keep copies. Read your agreement before anyone else touches a system you do not own.

If you own it

Cash and loan owners are on their own for service, and the page from SunPower Inc. says to start with the lender. Your lender will not climb on your roof, but it holds the paperwork and may know which company it has used before.

SunStrong's maintenance page tells cash and loan customers it does not service to contact solar dealers, installers or repair companies in their area, and lists third-party companies by state. On 2026-09-28 that list had no entry for Nevada. In Las Vegas you hire a licensed contractor yourself. The Nevada State Contractors Board tells homeowners to confirm the licence shows an Active status on the board's search. Apply that test to us too.

The monitoring app changed

If your production graph went blank, this is the likely reason, and it is fixable.

SunStrong's help centre says its SunStrong Connect app replaced mySunPower when SunStrong took over account management for 110,000 former SunPower customers, and that the old web portal is no longer supported. It also says:

• Free cellular connectivity ended. SunStrong says a system that relies only on cellular, with no active cellular subscription, risks permanent hardware damage that may affect production, so it asks owners to connect over WiFi or Ethernet.
• WiFi must be 2.4GHz. If the monitoring box cannot reach your router, SunStrong suggests a direct Ethernet cable or a power-line adapter on the same circuit.
• Basic monitoring is free. Premium features, such as history and panel-level data, cost $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. Lease customers get premium features at no extra cost.

SunPower Inc.'s page also describes an Enphase monitoring upgrade kit for many systems that pair Enphase microinverters with a SunPower-branded combiner box, and lists Enphase at (510) 945-6752. The Enphase web link on that page returned not found when we opened it on 2026-09-28, so call.

Warranties that outlived the company

Panels. Solar Power World reported on August 29 2024 that Maxeon, the panel maker that spun out of SunPower in 2020, would provide warranty support for SunPower-branded panels made by Maxeon, and that it covers the panels only, not microinverters, racking or batteries. Some SunPower systems used other makers' panels. The registration link from that report forwarded to a Maxeon SunPower Legacy technical documents page when we opened it on 2026-09-28, so contact Maxeon directly with your serial numbers.

Everything else. SunPower Inc.'s warranty page carries a manufacturer directory: Enphase for microinverters, Fronius for Fronius IG Plus A and SunPower SPR inverters (which it says Fronius made), and Qcells, REC and Waaree for panels, each with a phone number. It says every warranty decision is the manufacturer's.

Nevada's NRS 598.9821 lets component warranties come either from the installer or passed through from the manufacturer. If your agreement passed them through, the maker is still there. If an inverter has failed, see what an inverter replacement should cost.

Before anyone gets on the roof

A call from a company saying it has taken over SunPower's warranties is a claim you can check against the table above and the court record. See someone knocked and said they are taking over your warranty.
